Der Schnickling

Well, this is a little creature I invented just a few days ago. The word came to my mind and I tried to imagine how a being with such a name would look like. I'm sorry I don't have an appropriate English name for it.

A schnickling is a little creature which lives in the woods. It's cute, neat and clean. Although they seem so innocent, schnicklings are most conceited and can be very annoying if one has to be with them for some time.
Schnicklings change their colour with their mood. Usually, they're brownish but if they get angry their fur turns red, if they get sad it turns black and so on. That's why colonies of schnicklings always seem like a heap of coloured fluffy pillows.
